GOING FISHING 

The pleasures of fishing in the traditional way with the local fishers.

4, 5 or 6 days of fishing with the Bozo fishers on the Lake Débo in the heart of Mali.

The Lake Débo is the main lake and a wildlife sanctuary in the heart of Mali. After the rainy season it measures  35x35 kms, therefore there is sufficient place to go to fishinh. From Niger and the Lake run numerous arms in other lakes and in ponds; all in all - a haven of peace to go fishing and appreciate it.

They found more than 150 kinds of fish like: capitaine, tilapia, catfish, tigerfish, manogo, krokoto and wondo. 

You will meet with the fishers Bozo and with them you go into the pirogues. One pirogue has a length of about 6 - 10 meters and together with the "oarsman" and the fisherman you go out to fish the peach. They will teach you also how to throw nets or to put down the fykes.
* But if you prefer to fish with the pol – it is possible, but you will have to bring your own fishing equipment. (the equipment is needed to be very solid). 

The fish which are caught, will be used for lunch and dinner.

Nights are spend in tents on the riverbanks, the meals are provided by the cook and the guide accompanies you in the course of the trip.

Besides fishing, if you wish so, there is time to visit a village, to go for a walk; in this area live and overwinter numerous birds.
