MOPTI – DJENNE         1 DAY 

Really early in the morning we leave Mopti and navigate upstream to Djenné with a steadily speed. During the trip there will be enough time to stop and visit the small villages like Djibitage, Teke, Doubene and Balé, so you have time to wander the narrow streets, to visit the small mosques, to meet the villagers and get a glimpse of the daily life. You see the Bozo fishermen, throwing their nets and the Peul herdsmen with their cattle.

Towards sunset we have reached Djenné,   the city, famous for the large mud mosque    and the (Monday) market. 

Lunch is included and will be prepared by a cook; we have a picnic at the shore.
