The Travel Programmes

A journey along the river Niger is a must; your stay in Mali is not complete without it. The extent of the trip is very flexible and can last as long as the river flows or as short as the time you have got. This is the best way to see inside and experience the daily life along the river.  
 
You would like a trip of 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours? One day? Or a three-day cruise (with nights camping) navigating Mopti to Tomboctou? 

 During the voyage you will see the villages of Bozo, Peul, Sonraï and Tamashek (with 3 visits a day); traditional houses, a lot of birds, characteristic mosques, hippo’s, piroques with full sail etc.

You’ll embark the pinasse ; a traditional, elegant, arched wooden boat (motorized); with upholstered benches, kitchen, toilet, luggage compartment and a roof “with a view”.  The nights will be spend in tents on the riverbank.

With its crew, a guide, (who speaks French and Malian languages)*, mattresses, tents, paraffin-lamps, meals (hot and cold)  with fresh fish: capitaine. (nile perch)
