Just a tour of 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours? Or a cruise of 3 days, (spending the nights at the riverbank or camping) from Mopti to Tomboctou? During the voyage you will see the villages of Bozo, Peul, Sonraï and Tamashek (with 3 visits a day); traditional houses, a lot of birds, characteristic mosques, hippo’s, piroques with full sail etc.
You’ll embark the pinasse ; a traditional, elegant, arched wooden boat (motorized); with upholstered benches, kitchen, toilet, luggage compartment and a roof “with a view”. The nights will be spend in tents on the riverbank.

Who am I ? My name is Alkaye Traoré ; I was born in Youvarou and raised in Mopti. Among others I have worked for Doctors without Borders and Veterinarians without Borders in Mali. Since 1984 I’m a pinassier and from 1995 on also a guide; I cooperate with European and African tour-operators, but I arrange also excursions and voyages for individual parties. I’ve worked and travelled in Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, and Cameroon. :
